I booked Russell Parham to perform at the surprise birthday party I threw for my fiance on June
9, 2007. It was an outdoors all white tented event. Knowing that the guest list would include
conservative individuals as well as younger, more relaxed individuals, it was very important that
I find a "clean" comedian, a comedian that was capable of being funny and entertaining without
the use of profanity or vulgarity.  
When searching for a comedian in the Washington, DC/ Baltimore metropolitan area, I came
across Russ' profile. After viewing his website (http://parhamproductions.net), which includes
sample clips of his act, I was sold. I was mostly impressed by the fact that he appeared to have
a variety of material, from politics to religion to pop culture and the media.  It also was a major
plus for me that Russ was from Baltimore because my fiance and many of the guests were also
from Baltimore.
Russell was fabulous at the event. Prior to the event, I worked with his agent, Rebecca, to work
out the details. They were very professional and accomodating. She was even able to provide
another comedian to open up for Russell. Russ had obviously been prepped about the audience
and any concerns I had. He even wore all white like all of the guests! Once Russell got up there,
he was able to quickly loosen up the crowd and they took to him very well. He never made
anyone feel uncomfortable or uneasy. He even threw in some Baltimore jokes at my request. His
material was funny, entertaining, and very appropriate. Guests had only nice things to say about
Russ. My fiance and I were very pleased and would recommend Russell Parham to anyone for
almost any kind of event. My only disappointment is that I had not previously heard of this
talented up-and-coming comedian. I am sure he will go far. Thanks again Russ!!! We will
definitely keep you in mind for future events (that is if your calendar isn't too full by then). We
wish you all the luck in your career.
